You are viewing an antique glass cake or cookie platter. I purchased this in Wisconsin from a gentleman whose elderly mother had it for eighty years, but was now breaking up housekeeping. It really has a unique quality of it's own. It is 11" in diameter. The pattern of climbing roses is embossed on one side of the plate. However, as I have studied this plate, you could actually invert it and use it on either side. If you wanted a cake to stay on the platter, simply use the ridges to keep it from sliding. Or turn the platter over and the ridges keep the platter from rubbing against the surface. It is in excellent shape--no imperfections that I have discovered. Wish I could tell you who made it, but I couldn't get that information. It's a unique piece--the design reflects it's antique status.
